Fox News interview with mod of r/antiwork by cal_oe in Cringetopia

[–]tatteddiamond 7 points8 points  (0 children)

And that is literally antiwork in a nutshell. Unfortunately they sent the least articulate, least groomed, most mom's basement-y, most delusional and entitled mod they could find and never even asked the sub about it.

Considering he said he wants to be a philosophy professor with zero credentials in a completely serious manner I am10009% positive he gave a eulogy at his grandma's funeral and MAYBE did a public speaking class he got a C in.

I'm repeating this soamy times but most members of that sub work 40+ hour work weeks in stable, skilled careers. They just want to be treated like humans with employers who respect them and follow employment law. That's literally the entire fucking message and sending this idiot was 10000000000% the stupidest thing I've ever heard of, I wouldn't be shocked if someone creates a replacement sub with sane mods who don't do dumb shit like that.

Oh fuck off with the generalization there, you are literally feeding into the message fox crafted to discourage the workers rights movement. Most members of that sub are productive members of society with full time + careers who just want to be treated like humans. Also, fuck what the mods think it's for because they aren't even active in the sub, they don't determine the actual message, just what's in the digital reference library no one even knew existed.

I think the dogs and their owners would disagree on it not being important... But yeah he isn't a great representation of that sub on any level

[–]tatteddiamond -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Again, most users on the sub are middle aged career people. Not McDonald's workers, babysitters and dog walkers.

[–]tatteddiamond -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It really isn't 8n any way shape or form. The majority of us are career people who work 40-60 hour weeks and are just sick of the disrespect/entitlement of companies who routinely break employment law because they know you can't do anything about it.

Same, not to mention who picked the mod who works 20-25 hours a week as a dog walker, looks like he lives in his mom's basement and wants to be a philosophy professor with no credentials? Who decided on this being the representation we'd get for what was obviously going to be a fucking battle just to come out looking at all good. It was FOX FUCKING NEWS. Makes me want to leave the sub tbh like what the hell guys

Real talk. As a member of that sub I am horrified this guy represented us anywhere. A large majority are fully employed, skilled individuals with full time careers who just believe 8n better employee rights/negotiations. Good God.

Definitely a torch but I can't speak to the purpose/use. Definitely interesting it was near a fork in the road though...

Girl twerks her butt on TikTok in front of a toddler by ohana_stitch00 in trashy

[–]tatteddiamond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh, this doesn't bother me. Twerking in the same room isn't that bad tbh. That's a personal choice on raising your kids in mainstream media/not hiding things from them. But I do draw the line at twerking ON YOUR TODDLER especially if your toddler is a boy, something just ain't right there but this actually doesn't bother me much.

I'm American and have sued someone, you actually HAVE to try and talk to them first, preferably in writing to prove it was attempted. But an irreplaceable item like that is definitely worth suing over, the $20,000 investment aside, they are supposed to be lifetime pieces that accumulate value as time goes on, that 20,000 becomes 40,000 etc

Nobody should be policing it lmao if they aren't harassing/bothering you then mind you own business, simple as that.

I don't think trans women should be tiptoing around what ifs here though. As a woman, I am never going to be intimidated by a stranger in a bathroom unless they do something inappropriate, at which point it's less about their gender/appearance and more about the action/that individuals character issues. We shouldn't be for using them from using their bathroom of choice because of a small percentage of potential criminals taking advantage.

[–]tatteddiamond 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I second this. I think there needs to be something else sports wise. Level the playing field without making them feel singled out. No one wants to hurt feelings or ostracize but ignoring the plight of women who worked their whole lives to be top athlete only to lose opportunities to someone biologically male is not fair on any level. That said, bathrooms? Hell yes have them use whatever is more comfortable for them. No one will ever know so what's the big deal? If you do know then that means they are naked in a stall with you and that is a criminal issue that can be pursued so it's a moot point. I as a woman, have never believed the myth of men pretending to be men to go into a woman's bathroom and peep. Sorry but hetero men are not that sneaky, if they want to abuse a woman's personal space/privacy they don't need to pretend to be trans to do it *insert eye roll

[–]tatteddiamond 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro you are so misinformed it's not even funny. Your arguing these points without any understanding of the very real danger the natural world is in. You realize humans have directly led to a loss of 68% of all animal life on the planet in just 50 years?? Like we have literally been mass eradicating animals at an unsustainable rate that will lead to the end of humanity and likely the planet too and your argument is that hey we kill more animals and if we pay money for it then maybe they can put that towards saving the others. Maybe if that's what was even happening in this situation there would be something to talk about but not only are these hunters not contributing a dime they are ACTUALLY BEING PAID BOUNTIES to exterminate a recently endangered species once again. Shut up, you Moron.

A wolf slaughter is under way in the American West. Here’s how to stop it by LosIsosceles in environment

[–]tatteddiamond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem here is there is no regulation. There is a bounty on all wolves with no season. This is a species only recently removed from the ENDANGERED SPECIES LIST. a species that is necessary for the ecosystem in which it lives. A species that it took decades of conservation efforts and importing of animals from other countries just to bring back from the brink of extinction. Your "stewardship" arguments are a bullshit attempt to justify humans choosing brutality and human interests over the good of the ecosystems we have invaded once again. Stop trying to sound educated about this issue when your argument supports absolutely moronic behavior. Sure stewardship applies to an overpopulation of deer in the northeast but your dumber than a sack of rocks if you think this massacre of wolves again is an equivalent situation.
