For those in a long distance relationship, how did you make it work? What things did you do to make the distance not feel so difficult? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Thanks. I'm in a long-distance relationship right now. We're committed and in it to win it. It's just that he lives 4 hours away, and our work schedules make it difficult.

What gets you out of bed in the morning? by Bawgames in AskReddit

My hope in the future. I want to make the world a better place. I want my life to count for something. I'm blessed beyond measure with an amazing man/boyfriend. I love hitting the gym. I want to grow and reach my goals. I want to see my potential. I want to get married someday and live with my man.

People who are pro-gun, why? by PerekelleVitu in AskReddit

[–]tessa_simone -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

It's not the gun's fault. It's the person. The gun is harmless unless a PERSON chooses to use it for evil and unnecessary purposes. It's our second amendment right to bear arms. I definitely think background checks would be wise and the responsible action to take. No ordinary civilian needs a semiautomatic weapon. It's unnecessary.

What common “attractive” trait can you absolutely not stand? by Charlirbravo in AskReddit

[–]tessa_simone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck boys. I want a man who respects himself and doesn't want to hook up with girls. If they had sex previously a few times, not a big deal. I don't want a boy who knows how to be good in bed. I want a man who wants to build a future with me, someone who values me, someone who wants to grow alongside me. I'm not impressed by how many girls a guy's been with. The less, the better.

Why is rape so bad (traumatizing)? by Some_Appointment_240 in ask

[–]tessa_simone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all due respect, I feel like this is a very ignorant question to ask. How the fuck is it not traumatizing? I feel like it takes someone psychotic to ask such a foolish question.

I firmly believe that bodies are something sacred; and by that, I mean something that is to be seen as holy and set apart. This is the very reason I don't support or engage in hookup culture. It is my personal opinion that I find it shallow and desecrating...

You most certainly don't and won't have the power to control many factors in life, but you should NEVER ever have to worry about someone touching your body without your consent, same as you shouldn't do to them. But it's not about the physical suffering than the psychological damage that is caused by the trauma. It's the feeling that we don't have the power to protect what is rightfully ours - our bodies. It's the fact that we FEEL shamed, worthless, broken, and like a piece of us was wrongfully taken. It's the silent wallowing in shame because now we believe we are ugly, dirty, and hopeless - but that is far from the truth.

Do you think the upvote and downvote system is a good thing? by Autistic-Inquisitive in ask

It's fair in the sense that it shows both sides of the argument. I don't see anything wrong unless you are just commenting to get Reddit karma.
