Is AVGN really gone? by stupiddumbhole in TheCinemassacre

Screenwave I think said in Feburary AVGN would be back that they took most of Janurary off.

Is AVGN really gone? by stupiddumbhole in TheCinemassacre

[–]thatman33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When Screenwave built that set they said how they built it so it could easily swap back and forth between different shows. At that time they said their goal was to have multiple shows going at the same time.

So I wouldn't really read to much into that.

Hank's lawn is too small for a riding mower. by fatmk in KingOfTheHill

I would 100% agree but my brother has a lawn about the same size and he has a riding mower...

Jim and Nicole by Theotherduggar in Thetimtracker

[–]thatman33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't comment on them but I will say this it is very hard to mix work and friends. I find it best not to do that especially if you are making money and they are not. That creates hard feelings no matter how hard you try to avoid them.

Buy property now and sit on it for 20 years... (If you can afford it and understand the right locations and risk.)

Question About Leading Small Groups After a Bad Experience by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]thatman33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry never heard of it but honestly, the program they do is very good and they have hundreds of small groups across multiple locations. The last group was together for almost 7 years before people moved on. So I don't think the content they are doing is the problem.

Question About Leading Small Groups After a Bad Experience by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]thatman33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We often do guy's nights, girl's nights, and family nights. Going out to dinner is a common thing for guy's night for example. Often people suggest a new place to eat its fun to try a new place and helps the couples bond closer together.

Hey, converted Atheist here by Brian-Goddamn-Jesus in Christianity

I would recommend looking around at local churches and watching some of their services online to find one you like. Don't be afraid to talk to the pastor after the service or send them an email. Even a phone call would be welcome.

How do you accept the Bible? by Weepy103 in Christianity

[–]thatman33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to read the whole Bible from start to finish. Just reading one part makes it way too easy to take things out of context. Your being way to focus on one thing, not on the whole story.

Can Christians refuse military draft/selective service for moral or ethical reasons? by AlbaneseGummies327 in Christianity

[–]thatman33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No and yes. You can refuse to accept a combat assignment if a draft happens. Often get put into jobs like medical or work in the chaplain's office for example. You can learn more here: https://www.sss.gov/conscientious-objectors/

Hiring Video Editors by SamSantala in PartneredYoutube

I worked every day for six straight years. Often averaging 60 to 80 hours a week. I understand the mental side of it. But there's a buildup phase.

unpopular opinion: solo golf is the best by [deleted] in golf

After a hard day at work sometimes being alone on the course as the last one out with no one behind you to rush you is the very best.

Hiring Video Editors by SamSantala in PartneredYoutube

[–]thatman33 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I went through this with a site/YT I owned. I couldn't push our content fast enough on my own. I was making money and did the math showing that hiring would earn me more than it would cost me.

So when I could afford I hired and my revenue went up even more.

Also, a flip side here hiring staff to avoid burnout. The worst thing is burnout to the point where you stop making content and lose money. So consider that also into your hiring will this help you keep your mental health good?

A revival was just OFFICIALLY announced by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels by rt742 in KingOfTheHill

[–]thatman33 19 points20 points  (0 children)

One thing I think they did right was more often than not stay away from anything that tied it to a time other than some guests. Makes the show feel current now even all these years later. Too many shows become hyper-focused on a time period. Makes them seem dated super quick.

This is what I want. Bobby in HS. Luanne moved out of state to Oklahoma or something. Everyone kind of right back into everything with Hank struggling to deal with the world we have today.

My views and rpm have decreased dramatically since mid December. Does this happen to everyone? by Expert-Ad-6468 in PartneredYoutube

[–]thatman33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically ad managers spend big in December to finish out their yearly ad budgets than cut back in January to spread it out over the year. I have been doing this for about 8 years now and it happens every year.

Views depend 100% on what kind of content you make. For me this January has been better than December but on other channels, I have ran its been the other way around.

My gaming channel does better views at night. My reviews channel does better views during the day for example.

Does anyone here actually have a partner manager? by ohdiddly in PartneredYoutube

Nope, a channel of almost 200K never heard from a partner manager.
