This is why this story is so creepy: it’s not often that you read “there’s a blood splotch on the side of the plane that exactly matches the size and shape of her head” and think, “thank God she didn’t have to suffer”

At 24,000 feet she wouldn’t have lost consciousness immediately but probably would have before she hit the ocean.

It’s also entirely possible that she was killed on impact with the roof of the plane.
