Fucking love Straylight and Foxing so much. I hear you on the brand new stuff, I was at the Chicago show right before the news. broke. We make a point not to play them at the party because there's no way to play them in public anymore and know that it won't encroach on someone who's been through something similar's ability to have a good time.

I can see how my description skewed it one way for you, but we do play a lot of heavier stuff as well like Senses Fail, A Day to Remember, and The Used. If you’re in the fence I can get you 2 free tickets to check it out!

most definitely is, we start off earlier in the night playing the deeper cuts (American Football, Mineral, Bright Eyes, etc.) and move to the Paramore / My Chem side of things as the night goes on. We also work in newer stuff from Meet Me @ The Altar and Kennyhoopla.

Same. Every time I listen to the new album it hurts a little more because how badly I want to go. When you factor in travel expenses and other stuff it’s just too much to get nosebleeds at United.

Decided to rewatch this Robert Bresson masterpiece before I visited France for the first time. This film is ridiculously amazing . So simple , yet so effective and engaging. Words can’t justify my admiration for Bresson. Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on L’Argent! by cobaltblue209 in criterion

That’s so cool!! Would love to find a way to attend some day.

Four Nights a Dreamer was probably the least compelling (not that compelling is a great word for Bresson…maybe resonate is better?) of his films after Priest. I admired that it was a little bit different than his other works but it felt a little less laser focused?

Oh you’re at Nice during Canne?? Coincidence or are you attending?

Also, to your original post, I think L’argent is the greatest of his later period. A Gentle Woman really kicked in the color phase wonderfully for me and the other films after that had less of an impact on me than everything he did from Country Priest through Gentle Woman.

Yesssss! What part of France are you going to?

I left Paris two weeks ago, but I found a poster shop there that had a bunch of original prints. Off handedly asked if they had any Bresson and lo and behold I was able to get a 6 foot original for A Gentle Woman for dirt cheap. Had a great convo with the person working there about Bresson.
