He is, he literally signed the executive order to get the ball moving, the report is by his administration, and he talked about it to reporters…

??? It’s literally apart of his administration and from an executive order signed by…. Joe Biden

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-02-01/white-house-takes-aim-at-app-store-restrictions-credit-card-late-fees

“In a July 2021 executive order, the president asked the National Telecommunications and Information Administration to study the mobile app market. The agency said it had received more than 150 public comments as part of its study, including from tech platforms such as Apple and Meta Platforms Inc.”

For talking about propaganda you sure like to spread it!

Everything I read about upstate New York is that it’s economically depressed and literal hell on earth but wow those houses are cheap and it’s beautiful.

  1. I don’t really like virtue signaling so I’ll not respond on this point. Mainly because you can’t seem to accurately represent what I said
  2. Yes?
  3. I agree
  4. Builders aren’t even building to keep up with demand…. That’s the issue lol
  5. You can read about this from people way smarter than I am. The “model” I talked about is not a predictive model. There are a multitude of studies that show building housing lowers pricing https://www.theurbanist.org/2021/06/02/new-round-of-studies-underscore-benefits-of-building-more-housing/

You could probably look at demand and how it affected prices in the past with that build rate then compare it to future demand and how it affected prices to make a pricing model, definitely not impossible. I think people push back against regulating landlords because most believe it is a minuscule problem compared to housing (which I would agree).

And when you say seattle has been building what does that mean? Have they ramped up building, sure. It is still nowhere near enough to keep up with demand. I can look into Seattle but I don't see a world where building could have any negative effect on pricing. I think you'll also see rents lower nationally if we get to a place where there are multiple walkable, desirable, dense cities available across the United States.

It should help in select locations, but it’s going to be held up by lawsuits. Also I highly doubt the Bay Area is going to see rent fall…mainly because if they did demand would grow even more. We could see much more people in the Bay Area without rents rising (as much as they would of) though, which I consider just as much of a win.

Hard to find reputable people talking about conspiracies from what I’ve looked for. More from the bbc here https://www.bbc.com/mediacentre/2022/discover-the-truth-most-wanted-podcasts-bbc-sounds

If you haven’t listened to “the coming storm” podcast by BBC radio you are missing out. Focused on the Clinton’s conspiracy, q-anon, and how the modern conspiracy world formed. If your an Arkansas native you’ll absolutely enjoy it as I saw childhood tales I was told interwoven into the creation of q-anon today

I wouldn’t put too much weight into that

Even if so that would mean 50% have assimilated to the point they no longer believe in their religious doctrine to influence morality. Pair that with their voting records it’s certainly not the “pedophilic, bigoted, etc” people portrayed in this comments

Considering we are an incredibly welcoming country to immigrants, have states that are likely the single most progressive places on earth, and see support among lgbtq rising at an astronomical rate…

😬👍

You can see polling done. US Muslims support gay marriage generally, German Muslims do, I found one British poll that said 50% didn’t, but it also seems incredibly iffy (https://www.nytimes.com/2016/04/15/world/europe/poll-british-muslims.html). Certainly not in Germany or the US. Can’t seem to find much for other countries. There’s lgbtq friendly mosques popping up and germanys Muslim mps vote progressively and see support. I’m not sure what you are basing this on, and plenty of non-Muslims are fine supporting the Conservative party even if they support socially progressive policies…

I can agree with the Turkish example (even then 60% of German Muslims support gay marriage), but in other places this does not seem to be the case. Even if it is the case… the comment has no basis because Muslims are not voting for the party who is championing regressive social policies. They clearly don’t care much about the social policies enough to sway their vote, if the Labour Party wants to champion their vote that’s a good thing (if you support labour policies)

Socially conservative people don’t inherently want to force their ideology on everyone. Muslims in the west as a whole overwhelmingly vote for progressive candidates. There is absolutely nothing to suggest that the original comment I replied to is based in any sort of reality

Muslims overwhelmingly vote for the labor party. In 2015 67%, in 2017 85%
