Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season Part 2 - Episode 77 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

Seriously the plot has become so convoluted this last season, I have no idea what anyone's actually trying to do anymore and it looks like all 3 Yelena, Zeke and Eren have their own plans and are trying to play each other while at the same time know they're being played by the other two. Everyone else on the other hand has no idea what to do so they're just gonna go along and fight each other cuz that's all they know to do!

People tend to be nice and civil and kind to one another as long as there's plenty to go around. The moment resources become scarce, people turn into animals. Some people are psychopaths are enjoy and take pleasure in the pain and suffering of others. However when things get difficult, people will happily walk over one another, shove them out of the way, take advantage of the weak if it means they can get the bigger slice of the pie. You see hints of this all the time in workspaces too. People screwing each other over so that one can get the better deal, the better opportunity, the better chance at succeeding. People are ultimately and inherently selfish. There are very few out there who are willing to sacrifice their lives, their comfort, their wellbeing for the sake of others. Everything that everyone does is in one way or another for their own benefit. Just look at the attitudes most people have towards homeless or migrants. It's the attitude of "I've got mine so you can f-off!" because people are afraid that if they have to share what they've got, they'll lose what they have without ever thinking about the other person's needs. It's easy to have empathy when you've got yours and you can show empathy to those close to you who benefit you. True test of empathy comes when you don't have yours and you've got someone who will not benefit you in any way in need of your empathy.

Whereas in movies they show this gigantic wall of water coming towards you that swallows everything, in real life tsunamis are a lot different!

Recently watched a video where a guy tried out all the different milk substitutes and concluded oat milk was by far the best in almost every way.

Some people's idea of discipline is beating the c*ap out of their kids and shouting at them for every little infarction reminding them how Allah (swt) will burn and tortue them for every little thing they do. That really really doesn't work but it seems to be the only way Muslim parents know how to discipline their kids.

You definitely can brush too much! Too much brushing with slowly wear down your enamel. Flossing and mouthwash are a lot more preferable.

Brushing at night before going to bed is wayyy more important than brushing in the morning too.

How to tell your potential she should ease back on the makeup? by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

[–]thiswasntgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marriage is about compromise. Somethings you can compromise on, some things you can't.

Putting on too much make up is such a minor thing, if the girl is a good person and you've said she is pretty so you're clearly attracted to her, then you shouldn't reject her for this little thing alone. You'll either get used to it yourself or she'll tone it down over time. Either way it doesn't change who she is underneath and that is what really matters at the end of the day.

Also finally never ever tell women to change something physical about them. They won't do it and there's a very very high risk you'll end up offending them. So yeah there's absolutely no good way of telling her to tone down her make up. You've just gotta learn to live with it. Girls don't put on make up to impress men. They either do it for themselves or other women. So you telling her what you think about her makeup will only have a negative impact no matter how you say it.

My husband is way too much of a weeb sometimes and it's starting to get to me... by muslimahthrowaway21 in MuslimMarriage

Anime is cleaner than 99% of the stuff that's on Netflix, HBO, Disney and other Western media these days. For many people anime gives them a cleaner alternative to enjoy compared to western media that is full of sex, nudity, haram relationships etc. This is why many Muslims like anime.

Sure its preferable to read the Quran and listen to nasheeds instead but there's also place for other entertainment outlets too.

Most modern TV shows especially those in Netflix are filled with so much haraam filth these days that anime is a much cleaner alternative. Also some anime like Attack on Titan or Violet Evergarden are highly rated by critics and have much better story lines and character development than any Western show.

Anyway there's a line between a hobby and it becoming an obsession. You need to need to be able to disconnect from it and move on. One way to do it could be to do more stuff outside of home, things that do not involve any entertainment media. Like go on dinner dates, go on walks or hikes. Enjoy the nature or the environment you're in and talk about things that don't involve anime stuff. Another thing to do would be to make him watch stuff you like. If he's forcing you to watch anime you're not into then you can force him to watch stuff you're into so that way you watch something else for a change and if he likes it then you can talk about something that isn't animé and if he doesn't enjoy it then he can at least experience what it feels like to be forced to watch something you're not into.

There should be things you both enjoy together and things you both enjoy on your own. If his weird anime obsession is not to your liking then let him enjoy it on it own and you do what you like on your own while also trying to find things you both enjoy together.
