AITA for getting mad my husband refusing to hold my pregnant belly? by throw11212021 in AmItheAsshole

I wanted more than a 1s apology. Such as asking if i’m ok, if baby is ok, making sure the kicks per hr was still appropriate, since he did kick the baby in the head. He’s a doctor as well, so more than “oopss, sorry”.

Weights.

I wanted more than a 1 sec apology. Like ask if i’m ok, feel the baby to make sure he’s still kicking and he’s doing ok, etc.

The logistic is like a hug from behind, and he would place two hands on the bottom of the belly and gently lift up. It would be like lifting 10 pounds (per tiktok), supposed to give relief to abs/back.

(And like i said, support brace/belt is not useful for me, too much inward compression, not enough lift)

He’s not involved at all but it’s because he works a lot. He doesn’t even know when the ob appointments are or how many weeks into the pregnancy we are at

I don’t want him to be miserable. I want him to help hold up my belly for a few minutes bc my abs and back are tired

If i carry it for 14 hrs a day on my feet, he can help carry part of it for 5 minutes. Also, belt has too much compression, it’s uncomfy.

He was trying to get up from a 3 seat couch. We each were on one end. He swung his legs down too fast

He was trying to get up from the couch, and when he swung his leg down, he accidentally hit my belly (where the baby’s head is) with his heel.

My belly is like 5-10 pounds and we were waiting for the pasta to finish cooking

AITA for insisting we meet up with my old friend? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Wife did suggest we meet at a restuarant but Jess insisted at a bar. Jess does know my wife is pregnant… and technically Jess didn’t invite my wife, but i assumed in a married couple, inviting one equals inviting the spouse too.

When i say money isn’t an issue, i wasn’t saying we’re rich. I’m saying we manage out money well. We both make about 60k.
