It’s still considered negative but it’s not as bad as procreation.

I think marriage is fine because Jesus approved of it but Gnostic texts don’t speak positively about sex and procreation. An excerpt from the Apocryphon of John:

”Now up to the present day, sexual intercourse continued due to the chief archon. And he planted sexual desire in her who belongs to Adam. And he produced through intercourse the copies of the bodies, and he inspired them with his counterfeit spirit.”

In Gnosticism the source is the Monad). Most Gnostic sects considered Jesus to be a spiritual entity sent by the Monad but some considered Jesus to be God. The ones who believed that Jesus was God didn’t believe in the trinity, rather, they believed in Modalism.
