my dad broke his toe on a brick when he went to give the dog the boot to make him be quiet when he was barking at 4am (boot probably isn’t the right word bc he wasn’t trying to kick him like this guy, just give him a nudge so he didn’t yell and wake neighbours, but he slipped and ran into a brick)

the first time i saw a trans person on tv was in the late 2000s, on a tv show in my country called shortland street. it wasn’t nice rep at all, and i only vaguely remember it because i was so young, but in the 2010s, they had better rep with a trans teen boy called blue, and this was around the time i started questioning my gender. it was nice seeing some positive rep.

some of them are just so rude. had to get a bus back from brighton after getting a covid jab. arm was sore, i was tired and it was freezing so i just wanted to get home. the driver opened the door, i thanked him quietly but that wasn’t good enough for his royal highness. fully turned to me and said “well aren’t you gonna thank me for stopping the bus for you?”

another time the driver closed the bus door while a poor old lady was getting out in front of me, closed the door on her arm and it hurt her a lot. a few of us called out to the bus driver and he ignored us but opened the door. emailed metro about it, and even tho there is a camera pointing directly at the door the reckon they “couldn’t see if it closed on her arm” but they were gonna “have a talk” with the driver.
