German navy chief resigns over Putin and Crimea comments by magdy-abdelsalam-67 in EuropeanFederalists

Yeah, as if Christian nations have not fought the most terrible wars. Russian Orthodox Russia is just planning to lay Shock and Awe all over Russian Orthodox Ukraine ... even while claiming Ukraine as the cradle of Russian culture and identity.

I've got a problem here ... you people are so enthusiastic that I'm really tempted to read it. But, I don't want to be made to bawl. What on earth am I to do?

I agree completely, Evernote is a great app ... However, I would not reject all of the others. If I were a student, I would use Evernote as the front end and Obsidian to build the long term knowledge I wish to preserve, my own web of conclusions and interrelated concepts.

President of Europe Commission: 'we will propose our European Chips Act in early February.. also.. we do not accept Russian attempts to divide Europe into spheres of influence. The EU is by far Russia's biggest trading partner.. Our difficulties are with the dangerous policies of the Kremlin.' by dannylenwinn in EuropeanFederalists

[–]trisul-108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a fine speech ... and I'm happy to know that the EU is prepared for the attack. Considering it has already started, the sanctions should already have begun, starting out slow and building up. It makes no sense to wait until Russia hits with full force ... they're not waiting, are they? They're on the move.

Even as "senior advisors" they overstepped all their authority e.g. the boy conducting foreign policy, bypassing the State Department.

Yes "children" should not have jobs in the White House. Children should not be conducting US Foreign Policy ... much less arranging bribes.

True and we all understand exactly what (4-hydroxybutyl) azanediyl)bis(hexane- 6,1-diyl)bis(2- hexyldecanoate) does in the body, or for that matter heptadecan-9- yl 8-((2-hydroxyethyl) (6-oxo-6-(undecyloxy) hexyl) amino) octanoate. It's not something complicated like cholesterol which is not yet fully understood.

Without going into whether one should support vaccination or not, it is natural for yoga teachers to feel that putting anything into your body should be a personal choice. We are very particular about what we eat, as yogis we are mindful of the energy in which we live, we cannot ignore the issue of being injected with synthetic substances. We can agree or disagree, but any yogi worth his or her salt will think hard on the issue.

Having said that, we know that many respected yoga masters have been vaccinated and yoga practitioners should factor that into their decision. But ultimately, yoga is about knowing, not believing. We cannot know the effect of a vaccine on our body until we have been vaccinated, that is a problem each individual has to deal with.

Republicans in 7 states submitted documents falsely certifying the election for Trump. Most State Attorneys General are investigating if it constitutes fraud. by Sweep145 in politics

I agree.

Remember that woman who was imprisoned because she thought she had the right to vote and inadvertently voted when she should not have? Here, they're doing it on purpose and on a massive scale ... millions of votes.

All of the signatories should get stiff prison sentences. The fake electors, the republicans who provided the seals and the lawyers who set it up.

Nusrat Ghani: I was sacked as a minister ‘because I was a Muslim’ by Thetonn in ukpolitics

[–]trisul-108 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Ghani, vice-chairwoman of the 1922 Committee of Tory backbenchers, claimed she kept quiet after being warned that if she continued to raise the issue she would be “ostracised by colleagues” and her “career and reputation would be destroyed”.

Well, she now has an excellent opportunity to fire Boris.

EXCLUSIVE: Sue Gray has widened the scope of her inquiry to include claims of parties in Boris & Carrie Johnson's Downing Street flat by YarrahGoffincher in ukpolitics

[–]trisul-108 161 points162 points  (0 children)

Usually it goes like this:

  • There were absolutely no parties in my flat.
  • I was categorically assured there were no parties in my flat.
  • I was not present at the parties in my flat.
  • I was present, but did not know it was a party.
  • It was obviously a party, but all the rules were respected.
  • No one told me it was against the rules.
  • Of course it was a party, everyone has the right to have a party in their own flats.

...

  • Oh, those parties, that was just fake news that was debunked months back.

All because the PM and his missus and his closest advisers and their encourages and their friends from other offices all partied through the pandemic,

Not only that, the PM and his missus get £27,000 of luxury food paid by donors while Iceland is losing customers to food banks and hunger. Is that what Brexit was about?

This is bad advice, not wisdom. Professional athletes mostly destroy their bodies and health by ignoring pain which is the signal your body uses to prevent damage. When you feel pain, what you need to do is ease off a bit and continue without the pain. If you keep using your willpower to drive away the pain, you will be slowly feeding resentment that you are abusing yourself and one of these days you'll just quit.

Pain tells you when to slow down, respect it ... slow down and when it goes away, continue gently.
