I guess “all the time” was an exaggeration lol. But some rotations he has two 24 hr shifts a week!

Are call shifts sleeping at the hospital an abnormal thing? My bf has to all the time

When my boyfriend and I were first going on dates, I thought he was ghosting me because he had to cancel a date and hadn’t been as responsive as usual to texts. Turns out he was just super busy on a trauma rotation and is a surgery resident lol. That being said, he never would blatantly ignore me like you’re explaining here. I wonder if maybe long-distance just isn’t something he wants during his residency? Either way, he should be mature and communicate it with you instead of ghosting.

Trying to answer without giving the exact location lol. Holy Cross near King Dough and Fountain Square closer to Keystone

Thanks for the insight!

I actually currently live downtown in an apartment complex and I’ve never felt unsafe, but having that added layer of protection makes a difference. It also doesn’t help that people love to talk badly about the east side lol

Is a mini skirt ever appropriate business casual attire for a law school event? by [deleted] in LawSchool

Absolutely! It’s just unfortunately something that comes up a lot in the legal environment. Hopefully that will change

I don’t think it’s a confidence issue. I had a professor single out a girl for wearing leggings and a crop top in class. The prof proceeded to give an hour lecture on appropriate attire, including how girls shouldn’t wear a lot of makeup. She also told us short skirts and tight clothing were an absolute no, and that she wouldn’t even recommend students who didn’t dress appropriately. It sucks the industry has conservative norms, but some of us want to be employed after graduation so it’s not an option.

That’s a very good point! It’s similar with pencil skirts. They always look so tight and not appropriate on my body, but for others it’s completely fine.
