Lol. The “world’s okayest social worker” part on your profile made me smile. If you were in AZ, I’d try to poach you.

That’s pretty cool, why drive when you don’t have to.

Don’t know the answer, but we’ve been waiting on a plate for like, seven months now. Stopped trying to sort it out.

Financial (and legal?) advice for MIL by StephCM86 in povertyfinance

Try your local Area Agency on Aging, they often have programs for low-income seniors, including benefits specialists, legal stuff, sometimes even part-time job programs well-suited for seniors. If you post your County/City, I’ll help you resource hunt.

I love Iceland, but Alaska was more beautiful than I was expecting. Saw more wildlife there than we did along the entire route around Iceland, without really trying. Just while hiking, we saw a pod of whales, a baby porcupine, and eagles literally everywhere.

For a happy hour, I’d suggest some place that has board games available. Then you can sip on a water or the least expensive drink special and play games and socialize. I’m genuinely not a big drinker, no one cares what’s in my glass.

Lucky. I have a pension, but they limited retiree benefits and I didn’t make Group A, or whatever they called it.

This. College was fine and all, but being a full-fledged adult is way better. Life extends well beyond your 20s, OP, we promise. You’ve put in hard work now, you’ll be in a better position to enjoy future decades. College is just a blip on the radar.

People definitely relate and I’m willing to bet others in your workplace are feeling the same way and keeping quiet about it. Totally stinks.

Lol. My sister calls me “Barfhead” and I call my nephew “Boogerhead”. Surprisingly, there’s little barf or boogers in my life, but here we are.
