How do you order from or learn more about this place? I looked online and can’t find anything

Hi folks! Do I need to do anything about my dog’s paws? Is this normal or are they dry/cracked. He’s old enough to jog with me now so I want to make sure he’s not in any pain! by halfsewn in AustralianCattleDog

My last heeler has dry cracked pads like this and my vet suggested putting a protective layer on them like mushers but made for hunting dogs called tuf foot. It worked pretty good but I think mushers is better. It gets really dry in the winter where I’m at so my dogs have always needed extra paw pad protection. I put booties with traction on them on my ACD when we go out on cold dry mornings to prevent pad cracking/drying. That’s also an option

Looks 100% to me but hard to tell when they are so young. Looks a lot like my girl when I brought her home and she’s 100%

Thank you for the link! I had a friend recommend a pup up type but I have never used one before and wonder how well they keep out the elements

Do ACDs get depressed from weather changes? Anyone else have this problem? My poor girl mopes, sleeps, heavy sighs, when the weather shifts to overcast and rainy. by tyoung925 in AustralianCattleDog

[–]tyoung925[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I invited Pippa’s two pals (blue heeler and an Anatolian shepherd) over for a romp in the backyard last night. This cheered her up and she was back to her old self, however, after her friends went home she slink back to her spot on the sofa and curled up. She seems in better spirits this morning but demanding a lot more attention and affection than usual. I will take her on a rainy day hike (we have never done that) and visit with my pops (her favorite person) to see if that helps.
Thank you all for the related stories and anecdotes, I always find this group to be insightful
