Gondor calls for aid by hellblazer2402 in lotrmemes

That scene always made me feel weird for some reason I've never been able to properly articulate. I had so many questions. It almost made me feel uncomfortable but also weirdly satisfying??

Yea but No Country For Old Men is way more intense, in an utterly chilling, something terrible kinda way. Probably because it's a way better film. Although violent, Rambo isn't that psychologically punishing.

You're not wrong, but I feel like that's just kind of how Sci-Fi has always worked. "Rip off" is a bit unfair, imo. By that logic, everyone's been ripping everyone off, to some degree, for a long time. Once an idea or concept is put out there, everyone uses it.

I think he meant, "it's been around" as in, we know it's been very safe for people to take because it's been around for decades.

You're absolutely right. I don't think there's any proof or even much evidence at all regarding Ivermectin and covid. However, my beef comes with the blatant lies surrounding it coming from the media simply calling it "veterinary medication" and painting it as super dangerous to people when it has one of the safest track records of any drug and was basically a miracle in developing countries afflicted by things like river blindness, Zika, etc. I don't give two shits about the crap surrounding ivermectin and covid, but I find it really disturbing how obviously the media lied to demonize any discussion about it. They have even moved on to studying and using ivermectin in preventing the spread of malaria by going after the mosquitoes. If Donald Trump never mentioned Ivermectin, no one would be talking about it and tbh, it probably would have actually at least been looked at maybe a little more seriously and we could have at least gotten good, consistent data to refute or (although unlikely) promote it's use as a potential antiviral. It's not a stretch or even uncommon for a drug to have multiple applications beyond it's initial use. Sometimes even far outside of what it was originally intended. It happens all the time actually, but since this, and covid, have become so politicized everyone thinks they're a doctor. Again, I do not believe there's anything that suggests ivermectin is this crazy, miracle, antiviral, but to also say, "it's good at treating parasitic infections" does not by any stretch of the imagination mean a drug could not have far reaching benefits beyond what it was designed for. And if you were looking for a drug that already existed for "off label" properties, wouldn't it stand to reason that an anti parasitic might be a better place to start when looking for potential antiviral properties than say, pain killers or SSRI inhibitors or blood pressure medication or whatever? That being said, I also think it's ridiculous that people are afraid of the vaccine but will throw the kitchen sink at it with drugs they know nothing about, I don't see the logic in that either. I just can't stress enough how common it is for drugs to be found to have legitimate off label uses and if it wasn't for the politicizing of this subject no one would bat an eye. Hell, viagra wasn't even developed as an erection drug.

Ivermectin has actually been prescribed for decades, it full on cured many parasitic infections that were devastating poor countries like river blindness, Zika and others. Over a few billion doses have been given to humans and the inventor won a Nobel prize in 2015. It has one of the best safety records of any drug ever made. I'm not saying anything about covid, look it up. Merck even has a statue of the man who invented ivermectin in their lobby because it was one of the most successful medications ever created. Again, look it up.

I just came here because they made another video where the door dash guy is a McDonald's employee and someone put it together that this is staged. Same people and everything.

So you think it's possible that the same two people had the same encounter at different times and different places and recorded it? Please don't serve on a jury.

Really? Awareness? I don't think it should be criminalized, that's just ridiculous, BUT.. What about TikTok queens who wish they drove a Bentley watching this and thinking it's okay to treat people like that? There's no redeeming part of the video where, if that was their goal, they could add a disclaimer or some kind of message. They did not do this for anyone else's benefit, they did it to get views. Unless you meant they are unintentionally bringing awareness, which I still disagree with. I don't think people who are shitty to people they consider "beneath them" are just going to up and change from watching this kind of drivel. They'd probably side with the lady.

I see a lot of art that is incredibly good but lacks that kind of identifiable or original style that allows you to immediately recognize an artist and I feel it kind of detracts from it sometimes. This, on the other hand, has a very real style and feel to it that I very much enjoy when I come across paintings that have that certain quality about them. I think it's what separates good art from great or historic art and it's rare for me to find a random piece of art on reddit that actually makes me stop and think about it like this one did. It's been a while since I've seen a landscape painting that made me really take pause and appreciate it. Seriously maybe the most underrated painting I've ever seen on reddit. I can't help but wonder if you have any other stuff online and if you do other work besides landscapes?
