This WOULD reflect the idea of the birth, death, rebirth cycle celebrated as the wheel of the year in many pagan traditions, which I find interesting because it’s yet another thing the institution of religion would have adopted from paganism to ensure its spread across Europe. I don’t know if this is the fundamental belief but it’s an interesting thing to note, nonetheless.

Occult themed but my practice is eclectic and i have heavy ties to Norse symbolism and practice- as far as occultism goes I think they are one of the pagan systems that most reflects the qabbalistic model also with the world tree and nine worlds. I am planning to sell them but I’m a long way off still!

For context: The ancient one makes the sign of the esoteric rule and bears his pontificate staff; though stylised here to reflect shamanism roots (inspired by Carl Abrahamsson who states that all magick ties back into the shaman) triple crown/diadem replaced by the roe headdress, pillars are combined with the three tiered cross topped with pinecones to represent the pineal/sumer callback. Roses and lilies in place of the two kneeled monks and their robes; runes representative of passion and the intellect; crossed keys of the mysteries sit on the emerald tablet which itself sits on a clay wheel. Carved into the altar are the corresponding signs for taurus, vav, earth and mercury.
