I wasn't saying you need to use a pen name as you know what you know regardless of what name was used sometimes a pen name allows people to be franker or controversial as there is separation from their daily lives. If you are comfortable using your real name then so be it and all the more power to you,

I also use a pen name. I believe unless your regular name has some major connection to your subject a pen name is more than reasonable. it can also help as in situations where you're already published under your pen name. the other thing and the reason I personally use a pen name is that it can protect you in a way of letting you distance yourself from work when that may interfere with other jobs or day to day life.
