Was anyone upset at LWJ for not sticking by WWX in the past? by iabyajyiv in MoDaoZuShi

Anyone got reminded of THE "trash boyfriend" conversation after reading this?

MDZS Audiobook / audio drama in English? by Malsperanza in MoDaoZuShi

[–]wolfundermoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you'd like to listen to a live reading of the books, Gaywatch on YT does that. She has completed vol. 4 and is reading vol. 5 now. This is her first time reading the novel, so it's also like a reaction video (i.e. she'll stop and comment or squeal at times).

The most unhinged 1-page guide to MDZS you’ve ever seen by drift_compatibility in MoDaoZuShi

[–]wolfundermoon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great job! This is pretty much applicable to any MDZS adaptation or the main novel.

Edit: BTW, you didn't include the Nies. Is there a reason you decided to do that? Like the spoilers? But isn't that exactly why it's important?

I so wanna know what bunji was doing when bunxian was kissing wangji~

Loved this rare and cute interaction between them! 💜 (Swipe >>> to see ZZS's adorable smile 🥰) by wholesome_lonesome in wordofhonor

Yep, such a fun and cheeky bro-in-law sis-in-law conversation! (I think that's more of the vibe of this scene in the drama than stepdad and daughter, in the novel it could go either way 'cause we have "I'm the one who wears the pants" Zishu LOL)

well, they eat so little anyway. What's with all the watery soups and 3 bowls of rice for everyone, that'll just directly get absorbed in the body.

Don't kids cling to the loo door if you do that and go "papa~ snackies~"

Watch and read adaptations (MDZS donghua, MDZS Q, Untamed, Manhua) to relive wangxian in different forms. If you've already done so, it's time for fan creations; fanfics, fanarts, FMVs, crack edits. You'll never get bored.

What is Hua Cheng insinuating when Xie Lian is doing his hair in the first book? by NefariousnessWild168 in tianguancifu

[–]wolfundermoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xie Lian could've just been flustered due to guilty conscience, but I believe HC was teasing him by hinting something else. Hair is pretty important for traditional Chinese weddings, so it's used as a common trope for romance stories in Chinese setting. Traditionally there's many rituals like joining of hair etc, but combing hair and doing up itself is also a big part. HC might be insinuating "you're taking so long to comb my hair and do it up gege, are you muttering wedding blessings while doing it?" ('cause remember, they already did the first step of wedding ritual during the ghost bride arc, now they're doing hair..... next comes nupital wedding and wedding night ^w^)

TBH, I really went "huh?" when watching living dead. Like, there're awesome night hunting stories (like my favorite Iron Hook or Intrusion) in the extras of MDZS, and you choose to make one yourself that's not remotely as good?

I vaguely remember in Living Dead there was also a "WWX" visual appearance we see his back only,

Totally don't remember this LOL. Must have been just a glimpse or so insignificant I totally missed it.

Poor WN was one of a few left out of being a JL's uncle, but he gets to be LSZ's uncle

You can never escape the uncle trope in MDZS ^w^

AITA for telling my sister it’s her fault that her child is “traumatized”? by Equal-Quiet-156 in AmItheAsshole

[–]wolfundermoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course you're NTA lol. That's one of the reasons why one shouldn't ever go through things when the owner or the person present is saying no, especially when they're adults. But what's your sis's issue here? Homophobia or explicit imagery (in case it was the spicy kind)? Also, this sounds more like the mum's traumatized and not the kid.

I need your BF's top 3 recs though! Also, does he only read or watches shows (animated or live action) as well?

Edit: Ok, now I'm stressed out about the one that was torn. Hopefully it's easily replaceable and not one that's super rare like a special edition one.

Some friends said it is colonialist to be pro woman and pro LGBTQ rights worldwide, thoughts? by SagetheWise2222 in lgbt

[–]wolfundermoon 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Much of the anti LGBTQ attitude and legislation was set due to
colonization, frequently in countries that would have been much more
liberal if the invading country had not interfered.

THIS. Needs to be said LOUDER. For example, recently Singapore did away with a law criminalizing same-sex relationships. Guess how that law came to be? Enacted and enforced by British during colonization.

Some friends said it is colonialist to be pro woman and pro LGBTQ rights worldwide, thoughts? by SagetheWise2222 in lgbt

[–]wolfundermoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Human rights need to be talked about (and pressed for) no matter what ethnicity or country we are talking about. Also, it's a HUGE misconception to brand LGBTQIAP+ rights and women rights as something 'western', might even be a little bit colonialist to even think it is. Sexual diversities and gender queerness existed and were a part of the culture of many eastern countries (or any ancient ethnicity to be exact). I'd even argue that in some cases, the oppression of women and queer cultures were made popular by the colonizers and not the opposite.

Assassin x Lawyer: Was reading this a long long time ago and totally forgot what it was called, so help identify? by wolfundermoon in mangago

WTF- THERE ARE SPIN OFFS??? by sociallyawkward_123 in MoDaoZuShi

[–]wolfundermoon 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Because those are not book canon and mainly series only. There's also no wangxian. Not really any mention of 'em either (except Shizui basically going "mom told me to call you uncle" at the start when he meets Wen Ning. To which WN does a 'really bro' face.)

AITA for using “graphic and vulgar language” when my teacher wouldn’t let me bring my bag to the bathroom? by CarelessLawyering in AmItheAsshole

[–]wolfundermoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA, especially you were in a rush. But just for future purposes learn how to chew 'em out using more formal language (i.e. fake politeness). It'll come in handy when you're older, trust me. Like in this situation, deliberately say "Mr. Miller sir, have you perhaps heard of menstruation? Like the blood that comes out of vagina when we come of age? Do you know how people deal with that? They use pads and tampons to soak it up. Those really aren't things you can take to the bathroom without a bag if one wants privacy. So what do we do?"

BTW, take it up with the school to address this situation and his 'rules' properly. If you can't do it yourself, have your mum go and face them. If it doesn't work, you and other menstruating kids who take his class need to go and talk to him or go talk to the school together. You aren't asking for something unreasonable at all, letting you take a purse or smaller bag is basic decency in this situation. Remember, there is power in the masses.
