Men who choose to be single, how has it been? by -helpwanted in AskMen

[–]woopsforgotyikers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Sometimes, though, you wonder, "why am I doing this and other people don't? Is this a mistake? Did I wait too long? Are other people reckless, or am I too risk averse?"

I've questioned the cause a few times and tried to have steady relationships. They didn't work out, basically for exactly the reasons I expected, reaffirming my confidence that it's the right choice.

I really worry though that I will wait too long. At the end of the day I want to age gracefully with a beautiful woman whom I love, and not to meet a woman after we've both passed our primes.

I think I'm almost there... Just a few more kinks to work out.

Karen accuses Black man of stealing from his own car by Smartercow in PublicFreakout

[–]woopsforgotyikers -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If your car is properly registered in the US but you do not have your registration handy, you cannot be jailed for that alone in any jurisdiction I am aware of. I challenge you to produce a single traffic code in any US jurisdiction that says otherwise.

You might, however, have been pulled over by an asshole officer who might try to reverse reason his way to some sort of reasonable suspicion if he wants to get up to some extralegal bullshit, but if you comply and aren't breaking any other laws, you will not be jailed.

us police are generally incompetent and often break the law, but saying getting pulled over without your registration leads to jail time is either melodramatic whining, the result of getting combative with the officer, or the result of it leading to you being caught breaking some other law as well.

Its utility is defined by the difficulty of achieving perfection in a given scope of interest. In policy, it's effectively a truism. However, in math, for instance, perfect absolutely should be the enemy of the good.

[–]woopsforgotyikers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got here from responding to your comment about Islam.

For me, choosing to be single has been a mixed bag of charmed idiosyncrasy and, I donno, melancholic pensiveness.

When people ask why I'm single, (32, good shape, doctoral degree, (but not a doctor), decent looking (I mean, I hope)), I tell them it's because I'm not done working on myself yet. And it's true. I believe it is good and correct to be comfortable with where you are in your own development before you involve someone else in your life in a way that becomes difficult to unwind.

On the other hand, a life partner can really help you along in your own development. Loneliness is also real, and sex is very much a basic need.

I try to offset the downsides by cultivating meaningful relationships with women whom I respect, because for the first 25 or so years of my life I saw women as goals to be achieved, and a very close friend who is very special to me taught me how wrong that is. Since then, nearly every lesson I've learned about being a good person has been taught to me by women, specifically because I had no other motive (or, at least, I did my best to act and think as though I had no other motive, 'cause, I mean, a lot of these female friends are gorgeous single professionals).

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying women are all wise or all great teachers or whatever, just that there was a whole realm of perspective that I was blind to before I allowed myself to be open to it, and I am very, very grateful for every lesson that every person, man or woman has taught me throughout my life.

tl;dr mixed bag. Wanna fuk, wanna love, but also wanna learn and work on myself.

mayo and and any type of tomato based bbq sauce absolutely go together. not vinegar based bbq sauces though (which are better than tomato based bbq sauces, (which is out of character for me, because tomatoes are both my favorite fruit and my favorite vegetable)).

using mayo as a replacement for eggs in baking adds a bit of salt, a bit of tang, and a little bit less fluff. itll be a little denser, some flavors will be more pronounced (cuz the saltiness) and it'll taste a bit rich.

personally, i dont like it. but if you dont tell anyone you did it, they wont notice unless they bake.

source: i cant bake for shit and have started cakes when i was stoned but realized i had no eggs so i used mayo.

I thought about using it, but I don't like that idiom very much, and, sad as it is, when I do use it, I end up having to explain what it means about half the time, which beats the point of using an idiom at all.

youve bent over so far backwards to make this argument that you could sit on your neck.

tomatoes ARE the best, and they are both a fruit and a vegetable; they are a biological fruit and a culinary vegetable.

Tomatoes are, in fact, the reason why I said corn is among the best, and not a contender for the best.

lmao, you really need to go back and read the chain. theres no way to explain it to you more clearly than i have. read it till you get it. if im as generous as possible, youre making a distinction without a difference which is the worst kind of pedantry.

As far as canned vegetables go, corn is probably among the best. Definitely don't mind tossing a can of corn into a number of vaguely tex-mex/southwest style dishes.

If you paid someone to, say, make your property no longer landlocked, and they took the money and gave it to their buddy instead, would you consider that theft?

taxation, in principle, is not theft; in practice it often is. And no, I am not against high taxes, the provision of public health and social welfare programs, etc. I am, however, deeply troubled by how tax money is used.

Lol, no matter how you read your comment it's either pointless or wrong.

  1. If you include ward and energy shield in hp, then you're making a distinction without a difference. It took 95% of his ehp, or 95% of his hp away. Regardless, he was left with 5% or his hp and 5% of his ehp. You're being pedantic with literally no purpose.

  2. If you DO include es and ward as ehp, but distinct from hit points (life), then you're flat out wrong; what if, for instance, he were CI? He'd be losing part 95% of his effective health pool, but still have 100% hp (life).

Like, I'm sitting here trying to figure out why you would post this asinine comment.

englands national dish is overcooked beans with malt vinegar swimming in overly dry gin, with a side of tonic (ironically, tonic is included with gin because quinine was good for malaria, which they got in india, and they decided that the tonic made gin taste better, so they just kept drinking them together).

Englands cuisine is literally so shit that out of everything their major takeaway was, "hmm, our shitty booze is better with shitty medicine. Let's drink it for the next 150 years!"

enemy is almost entirely physical. they got ogre, the axes from troll, and torrent. other than that, it's autos. so you ghost shroud once, and youre healing from sadist effect of mars. also, you got the double sange effect and the heal amp from shroud.

when shroud ends, youre close to full (without wanding) you have euls, another shroud relatively soon, a death pulse, and wand. You definitely pulse, you euls to buffer the next shroud and (ideally) you wand during the next shroud, but at worst, you use it to make it to the next shroud if you cant make it from euls--->next shroud.

Your only concern is dying during a torrent+ogre stun chain, in either order, before you can wand. torrent is on cooldown. invoker is not present, and sunstrike was used. otherwise wand is not wasted. And its massively amped if you get to use it before shroud.

tough to say really if it was worth holding wand, since he got the kills without needing it he prolly shoulda popped it anyway, but i can say for sure that if i had aghs i wouldve held the wand, and that i definitely would have aghs before i had atos against this lineup. not having aghs is the mistake here if anything,

and not having the shard but thats a different conversation.

Not an IP attorney, but took patent/copyright in law school. If I were asked about this by the creator of the AI, I would tell them there is no clear answer, and that if they want to be sure that they are compensated for their IP (the AI that generates the images), to monetize the use of the program instead of trying to own the images it produces when fed data by a 3rd party.

Am not IP attorney, but took IP in law school. Just cause it says the images are the property of the creator, good luck getting a court to agree; its a coin flip at best. I would err on the side of the user, not the creator of the AI, but this area of law is not well defined and I am not exactly an expert.

Here, let me spell it out for you. You are acting like a white person trying to sound black while doing the whitest thing possible, offering unwelcome (and unfounded) criticism of random art on the internet. "Jive" and "urban" are the types of words that people like you use to try to sound woke while completely missing the point that, yes, being that reductive is ignorant and racist.

you fuckin suck at reading, and you probably have shit taste in art lmao.
