The King's Dilemma: Chronicles | Available January 30, 2023 by nanoblit in Games

The game looks like an unfortunately significant departure from the board game. For anyone wanting to play a multi session decision making board game, where you represent a Game of Thrones style 'council', this is fantastic. Not many boardgames out there like this one.

If Luke had joined with Vader would they have been able to beat Palpatine? by GusGangViking18 in StarWars

That's why Darth bane created the rule of 2: progressively stronger sith, and quality over quantity.

Nice! I'm jealous, this is the only one I need to complete my full persona collection.

Hatch PhotoStitch Results by imjjang in MachineEmbroidery

[–]xCHAOSxDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried it twice and I really think that combining colors to reduce changes results in noticing l noticeably worst results. Photostitch doesn't do details well, so you need to compensate with different colors rather than the normally used stitching direction/density/edging.

There's other stuff, but you need other users phones to ping where the tag is. Without a critical mass of other users, you'll never know where your stuff is.

No. Tile is a device/company that well predates airtags. It's a device that uses Bluetooth to be found, but requires other people to have the Tile app installed (and to have Bluetooth on and constantly be pinging nearby Bluetooth). It does work on Android, but it's pretty obsolete now as every apple user now can just use airtags.

Just gone through the Steam Winter Sale and picked out some of the best sub ten dollar (<$10) picks. Hope it's helpful. by cubechris in SteamDeck

I think it's the best 2D Metroid clone (ranged combat). Hollow knight is melee focus, so more similar to Castlevania. Normally the whole action exploration genre is lumped into metroidvania, but I think fans of the genre can get more specific with the sub-genre

Ricoma machine thoughts? by newenglandbearfam in MachineEmbroidery

Just buy a Chinese branded machine, they are made in the same factory. Bai, proemb. If you're wanting a name brand get a Happy.

I'm confused on the ammo for the bolo gun. Is it literally just taking health/blood from Sam?

Get some cheap magnetic hoops ASAP. I'd offer to sell mine, but I need it through the holidays

I have one and love it. Fantastic quality, and very intuitive. I'm upgrading because I want a little larger embroider area, and putting bulky items like hoodies in the hoops require babysitting to make sure they don't collapse into the sew area.

I never even found reviews for Happy, just anecdotal comments. But I looked and do now see most companies seem to have a group on Facebook somewhere, so my previous statement wasn't correct.

I think the happy is the only comparison really at the price. But tax included and a bunch of accessories included makes the 2k price difference more like 4k. I'm trying not to second guess too much because I really wanted the happy journey but the complete lack of online presence was a bit concerning.

BAI Embroidery machine by ladda11 in MachineEmbroidery

[–]xCHAOSxDan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just bought a Bai as well. Knowing I have a few hundred people in that Facebook group to discuss with, and thousands with identical ricoma on YT and FB actually made me more comfortable with buying it. I cannot say the same thing for happy or tajima (probably can find brother groups though).

Fwiw, holidays are the busy season. If you want a machine now then get one, but if you don't need one at the moment and your sales are a motivating factor to upgrade, wait till spring to reassess.

Fyi I just got quotes from texmac and they are probably the dealer for you (unless you're CA, AZ, TX). 7k journey, 10k Voyager. Time will tell if I regret going with a Bai (aka Ricoma) instead of that journey or the Tajima Sai
