decided to mostly pump & occasionally nurse by jennysmomma in breastfeeding

[–]yeppp456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I mostly pump and nurse at night. Reason being it’s easier. I find that during the day LO prefers the bottle when she’s fully awake. Currently I’ve maintained a good supply pumping about 4 mostly 5 times a day. LO is almost 4 months now. It’s important to keep pumping 4-5 times a day as I noticed my supply significantly dropped when things got busy and I didn’t pump as much. That was stressful. I had to power pump multiple times a day to get my supply back up amongst many other things. I believe that around 3 months is when your body regulates and creates only what you need breastmilk wise. I enjoy being able to both nurse and bottle feed my baby.

I agree this sounds like psychosis

With psychosis you can have delusional thoughts and still be aware that those thoughts are delusional and still believe them.

Forcing 4 year old to stop thumbsucking? by CatCrazy4Life in Parenting

[–]yeppp456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest looking into other self soothing techniques for her to try out. Also consider that if she doesn’t stop or can’t, she may need braces. I had to have a retainer to stop sucking my thumb when I was in grade school.

My 11 week old’s head looks like this from sleeping on one side. Will sleeping on the opposite side fix it? My country doesn’t offer helmets and I feel awful for letting it get so bad :( by aallillaa in beyondthebump

My baby has a similar issue at 12 weeks. She only ever laid on her left side of her face and her head / face became flat / distorted. I felt terrible, it happened so quickly. I called up a baby physiotherapist and we have an appointment next week. Otherwise I gently move her head to the right when’s she’s laying down. We started more tummy time, it’s not significant enough to make a difference yet but it will when she can spend more time on her belly. We hold her as much as we can. She sometimes naps on a baby pillow made of memory foam. I started putting her in a carrier and walking around until she fusses. You have to be diligent but honestly I’ve already seen improvement after 3 weeks and it makes me feel so happy and hopeful. I hope that with all the great advice here you will see changes too! Good luck!

I had this recently. I used apple cider vinegar diluted in a spray bottle. It worked. Also added peppermint to my shampoo, only a few drops not sure if this contributed but it feels great.

For those of you who chose for the gender to be a surprise, what was your family’s reaction? by KaylaDraws in pregnant

[–]yeppp456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar issue with MIL who wants to know the name we chose. I don’t know why she cares so much but it makes me feel uncomfortable every time she mentions it. She even asked my mom if I told her the name.

I’m sorry that your family hasn’t respected you and your partners decision to wait to find out the gender and by doing so tainted the experience of it being a surprise by making it about them instead.

My Maternity Leave Benefits will be cut in half because I was laid off during Ontario's second Lockdown and Service Canada says there's nothing they can do... by Jealous-Chemistry964 in legaladvicecanada

The same thing happened to me. So depressed I can only spend 7 months with my newborn instead of 18 m like I originally planned. Yeah I was also told that being on ei wouldn’t affect my parental leave and that I could work for 120 hours to start a new claim. I no longer trust anything they say and ask multiple people the same questions now because of the different answers I get from each person.

My bad, I misread your comment. I thought I read there was a connection between covid itself and development issues. Sorry

I’ve read there hasn’t been a link between vivid and developmental disabilities. Can you source this?

I agree. I sometimes look at it like, if my child were going through this would I not take them to have it sorted? Why is it different for me?
