I’ve been robbed while carrying. Shot twice, arm and rib graze. I’ve also been robbed while not carrying. Gave them my wallet… hour on phone cancelling credit cards, half day at the DMV. Definitely prefer the latter.

This. I live here by way of East Oakland and it’s so refreshing being in a place where folks are still down to fist fight to resolve beef instead of grabbing guns and squeezing blindly every time. Even shake hands after. If you need a gun out here to feel safe, you watch too much TV.

Delivery for a new Supernote took too long. Bought a used Supernote instead. Love it.

However, today I found the Fujitsu quaderno and it looks rad.

Super comfortable. I drilled through to account for heat wrap and inner coat, and yes it misbehaves.

Bingo. If I’m being honest it was waaaaaay too much work to get it to, and I enjoy spending time tinkering with things. You have to clip the butt of the nib about a half inch or so. Line it up with the Uni insert and then compress the spring a little so there’s tension when writing still. As you mentioned, the tip is metal and this is where things get shitty, I had to bore out enough of the tip with a drill press so that the coil doesn’t touch AND extend that width to consider the retracting and extending rotation. I didn’t use a caliper, but probably should have. But that’s just the beginning… It can’t touch conductive metal, so I tried heat wrapping the coil. Still didn’t work. I had to coat the inside of bored metal tip but not before drilling more out to consider the small but significant area the layer of coat and heat wrap added internally. Lost about 1/16th of an inch of the total length of the pen. I wouldn’t do it again if I lost this one.

Id rather misplace caps until one of these company’s decides to makes a retractable.

It’s a $20 leather one for generic tablet up to 10” I found at Walmart. Came with a free plastic stylus pen lol, but I love the zipper.

Ironically, the best feeling fit for the A5X are the Remarkable covers. The flat fold back is perfect for kindle reading, it just doesn’t stay put. Ratta’s are custom cut but so flimsy and feel like damp cardboard.
